KAIST Advanced Institute for Science-X (KAI-X) is accepting applications for the 2024 Summer KAI-X Research Internship Program!

Eligibility of KAIST Internship 2024

• Overseas undergraduate students(3rd/4th year) and
• Graduate students(master course) in the field of natural science including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Brain & Cognitive Science, and Medical Science.

Period of KAIST Internship

June 24 ~ August 16 (8 weeks)

Venue : Research Labs of KAIST Campus at Daejeon, KOREA

• Korean Culture trip(at least once)

KAI-X Research Internship Benefits:

The allowable assistance covers the real costs of round-trip airfare, capped at 1 million KRW, and dormitory expenses, which must not surpass 500,000 KRW.

KAI-X supports round-trip airfare and in case schedule deviates from the internship period by a week or more, explanatory statement is required.

• Prior to checking in at the dorms, all attendees are required to undergo a lung X- ray test in your country. If tested in Korea, individuals are responsible for covering the USD 50 fee for the checkup.

• Application Period : from Feb 1 to Mar 31, 2024 24:00(Seoul Time, UTC+9)
• Required documents : Application form, an essay(activity plan), a proof of enrollment, an official transcript and a letter of recommendation

Submit your application form, essay(activity plan), transcript, and reference letter to [email protected] within the specified period. Ensure the documentation is valid; otherwise, your application may be considered invalid.

KAIST Internship Selection Process:

Selection Process: If selected, you will be assigned to one laboratory based on your three indicated preferences, where you will participate in research activities during the internship period. Individual notifications regarding selection outcomes will be communicated within four weeks after the application deadline.

KAI-X Internship Result Announcement:

• If chosen, you will be allocated to one laboratory from the three preferences you have indicated, where you will engage in research activities throughout the internship period.

• Individual notifications regarding the selection outcome will be conveyed within four weeks after the application deadline.
